In accordance with Chapter 369 of the Acts of 1996 all Massachusetts Real Estate Brokers and Salespeople who wish to maintain an “active” real estate license must complete 12 hours of continuing education anytime during the 24 months prior to the scheduled renewal date of your license (every two years).

You can renew your license up to 2 years after expiration. If your license has been expired more than 2 years, you will be required to take the learner's permit exam and road test.
How many CE credits do I need in Massachusetts?

Licensees must complete 45 hours of continuing education credit every three years after the initial 3-year period, including the three (3) hours of MA approved Ethics. Licensees are encouraged to take at least one credit hour of approved instruction in each line for which they are licensed.
